An eight–event program was run on this afternoon during the county fair that included a 20-lap A feature race. A break was then taken so that spectators could visit other parts of the fair. That evening, the fans reassembled to watch the “special 50-lap A feature race”. The first eight races paid a total of $300 in prize money while the purse for the “special 50-lap A feature race” added another $200 to that bringing the total prize money paid out to $500. All 21 competitors were eligible to race in the “special 50-lap A feature race.” To date, nothing has been learned about the time trials, the three heat races, and the consolation race that were run in the afternoon.

This race had to be stopped before the first lap was complete when the cars driven by Main and Talbert collided near the pit area. There were no injuries. Farthing collected a total of $90 from the purse by winning first place in both A feature races. Clarence “Nut” Cokeley only collected $5 in tow money as he did not place in any of the races in which he competed. |
