Entry List for the Automobile Races Scheduled to be run on the
American Legion Racetrack
Oakley, Kansas
July 4, 1929
Three races of 5, 10, and 15 miles each were scheduled to be run on the American Legion mile racetrack on July 4, 1929. These races were well advertised and $500 was posted in prize money but, to date, all that has been found is the entry list for those races and it is not known if they ever actually took place. If they did take place, it is known that P. C. “Dad” Harrier did not participate as he competed in races at the Fillmore County Fairgrounds at Geneva, Nebraska that day.
